Hey everybody. Welcome to another episode of Cartel's Commentary. And thank you again for tuning in. I'm here with El Meman today. El Memen, what's up? How at the Star Wars Nation? Yeah, how I would like to say how all of Star Wars are doing out there today. And like you say, today is the 9th of July. My birthday is the 10th of July, just to remind y'all. But today, we got a quick topic for y'all. Today is about manifestation. I love this topic because, you know, as a as a kid, you always told us about manifestation and how like our imagination is our most powerful tool. Can you tell our Star Wars what manifestation is? Now, manifestation. Now, you know, I always give y'all the definition. So I got a definition right here for manifest. So the definition for manifest is to make evident or certain by showing or explaining. Number two, rapidly perceived by sense and especially by the sight. And last but not least, easily understood. Alright, so when when it comes to like manifestation, like when we when we when we're thinking about like manifesting our reality, how can we do stuff like that? We are thinking about manifesting our reality. So my point of view, I think to me, it all starts with the thought. So like we create, like they say, like we create who we are or who we want to be through our thought. We can manifest, we can we can manifest who who it is we want to be, like I say, through the thought process. I like that you say that because it it it all starts with a desire. Like when we have a desire or or goal, you know, that's where it all starts. We we we had the one we aspire to be something, we're ambitious. So once we have that, once we have the desire now, it it comes down to how we want to get it, how we're gonna like set those goals. How do you set goals down my mind? And I try to do it like I try to do like short-term, long-term, where I want to be within the five to ten year range. So, like I say, I thought I would the short one. I thought I want my short ones on the daily tip. Absolutely. Like, like you say, when it comes to setting goals, like we gotta we have short-term goals and long-term goals. And you know, there's uh an acronym we use for setting goals that we like to use, and it's called it's called SMART. So, can you tell our thoughts a little bit about uh the SMART goal? Yeah, so the SART goal got told to me probably like a year or two ago, and uh Nascar was the one that told me about the SMART goal. So now the SMART goal that S is you gotta be specific with your goal. And when they're talking about being specific, I mean like actually be specific if you want to, let's say, uh be a football player. You're like like you gotta be specific in like your training, you gotta make sure you're guiding right and all this and all that. And the M is for measure. You gotta measure it out, you gotta make sure it's obtainable. And the A is for obtainable. You cannot, we cannot set, we cannot set goals that is like unreachable, that is too far fetched. Right? I can't set a goal right now saying that I want to become the president of the United States. Like that is too far fetched for me right now. Like that's not realistic. So that's what they mean by when they say make it attainable. Then we got far, realistic. Gotta make sure, like I say, what we want to do is realistic. It's a perfect example for what I just said. Like, me being the president of the United States, that's not realistic right now. But then we got, last but not least, time, short and learn time. So we gotta make sure that they are set right. And one don't overlap the other. Thanks for breaking that down, Al Meman. Smart goals are are important for us to have and being goal-oriented, because in order to really be prepared or to really like execute our plans, like we said, the smart goal is it's a perfect way to break it all down. You know, sometimes sometimes our goals they seem they seem harder than they really are, or they seem out of reach. And that be because we're looking at it from day one or step one, and you know, people don't always get success overnight. People don't always reach, you know, make businesses overnight. People don't buy houses or cars overnight. You know, they have to really, they really have to manifest that. And they and, you know, when you do these small goals, sometimes you set small, achievable goals and using the stepping stone. Absolutely. And that is like that is how uh that's how I go about like manifesting a lot of my goals and uh like things that I want to do in life. And like I like it's like a little, it's a little tactic that I do. And when I want something manifested, and it's like it's easy because I'm gonna give you a prime example. This is a good example because me and Al Nascar, you know, we're back here on lock up. We bought some food from somebody, probably like a few days ago. And like, we're on lockup, they're on another tier. If they can order food, we can't. So with that being said, like we got the food from them, so it had to come around the corner. But it took like two, three days for it to come around here. But what we did last night was before we went to bed, before we laid down, we told ourselves that we were gonna get the food in the morning. And what we did was we prepared a spot in the cell for the food to be. We didn't have nothing in that area. We said that we're gonna remove everything off this chair and out this area because that's where we're gonna put the food at when it comes in the morning. And guess what? The food came in the morning because, like I say, we manifested it. We we we we spoke it into existence. Absolutely. I love that you say that because like like you say, when we manifest some things, we gotta believe it. Like we had to have that, we had to have confidence that what we seeking is gonna come to us or that we can we can create that. You know, sometimes we can't we can't find we can't always just find a way, we have to make a way. You know, a a way is not gonna find us. You know what I mean? Absolutely, yeah. Because like you say, you gotta find a way because the way is not gonna find us. And like we say, you gotta find something to do because something to do is not want to find you. So this is another thing we we like to tell all our stall-walks and stuff like when it comes to manifestation. So, for uh, for example, for a person that's in here during their time, that their release date is some years away. And they might not they might not be satisfied with that. You know, they might their release date might be 10 years away, but like we all know, like a day in prison is a day too long. So we gotta always try to make the best and try to manifest our freedom. We gotta try and break that time down in some way, shape, or form. So when it comes to us manifesting our freedom, we can't just get up every day and say, I want to be free, I want to manifest my freedom. And then when the time comes for opportunities for us to make choices that could get us closer to home or get us more credits, and you know, we we make a choice that goes against that. Why why do people do that, LMA? Now, explain that last part one was on. So, like, for example, if someone is trying to manifest their freedom and there is an opportunity for them to, let's say, take a job, they might have a job already. They got a laundry job, it's five days a month on the tier. But they get offered a another job that can give them maybe 10 days a month. But if people say they want to manifest the reality, but they turn down that job with an extra five days a month, why do people do that sometimes? Now, I literally can't give you the exact reason why people do that, but like I could like I could I think they probably I think a lot of dudes probably do a lot of things in here because of what they because of how people are gonna view them, because of what they think people are gonna think of or what they're gonna say to them. But in all actuality, like we cannot care about that. We cannot care about what the next man or the next woman feel or think about us. Absolutely, because what that person thinks of us is not getting us home any soon. But those actual five days a month will write. Absolutely. I was going to get into like we gotta we got this, we got these ten laws to life. We got these ten laws to life that in a second, once we get done going with this one, we're gonna run the ten laws of life down to y'all, and I'm pretty sure y'all are going to love it. But back to manifestation. Right, so you know, I know that some people that when they when they desire to manifest their reality or uh accomplish their goals, sometimes we we fail to realize the choices that we're making and and the the severity or the outcomes of them because we're not being mindful in the moment. Sometimes things, if it's out of sight, out of mind, we don't we don't remember. Like, you know, being mindful is is is literally thinking of what is important. You know, if you break it down, it it's it's full of mind. You know, instead of being careless per se, you know, you really contemplate your decisions, you really think them through, use those critical thinking skills. And sometimes we make choices just so subconsciously or without even thinking that we don't realize that they they can go against our desires. Absolutely, yo. Like that is that that kind of goes into what I was being able to say. Like, we be we be having you be you you have dudes and people in here that be wanting to like manifest their reality, like manifest their freedom and get out of here, but like they they they they mouth doesn't like they they mouth doesn't line up with their heart. Like the mouth, the like like they say the mind, body, and for all of it gotta connect. So I can see that I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to be free. I can say that every day I get up, I want to be free, I want to go home, I want to be free. But I am not doing nothing. If I don't do nothing in that time to like try to get myself closer to like being free, then like me trying to me saying this and saying that, like, it's never going to work. So like what like what I'm what Magic trying to say is like like L L L words, now the guys gotta line up with like our heart. Right. Actions speak louder than words. That's why, that's why that's that's really important. Like, you know, because when we when we do have these goals or these these true desires in our heart, our reality gets put to the test. We always get get, you know, and sometimes we can't literally make our time shorter, whether it's days or getting a lawyer or something, but it could be as simple as us sending ourselves reading a few minutes a day, you know, learning, teaching ourselves, because you never know when the opportunity is going to come for you to meet somebody or come up. It's like if if if if anybody can pass this IQ test, or if they know this piece of information, or can fix this on a piece of on a TV or radio, then if you can do that, you can have a job, you can go home. Those are that's a real vast open-minded way of viewing things. But, you know, it's that's that's that's that's me, that's how I look at things and use my imagination to kind of stay positive. Absolutely. And we gotta know that on our road in our journey to success and like to do something in life, we always gotta know that it's gonna be tested. Like he will like we were watching a video the other day, like I literally got this from a video, not where we're watching a video of some incarcerated individuals that went home. They are free now. And they are out there, they're actually out there fighting for people that are still like incarcerated that's like being like that that are being done unrighteous. So, like one thing that he said that stood out to me was he said that like it's not too late for nobody to turn around, to turn their life around. It's never too late for no one to give their life to Christ. And another thing that he said, he said that always know that on your walk through on your walk to success and on your walk to positivity, like he said, you're going to get tested to, you're gonna get tested by other believers and other people that is on that same walk with you, they're gonna test you to make sure that this is what you want and you're not wasting your time or their time. And I loved it that he said that because like I feel as though like that was done to me once I once I once I realized that I wanted to do better with my life in here, and I wanted to like stop their violence, I wanted to like make it home to my family whether sooner than later. Like, I can actually like in hindsight, I can see like some some some of the believers that I I see now in high, I can see where they were trying to text me that with certain things, ask me certain questions and uh uh asking, was I coming out, or am I gonna go play basketball, or am I gonna come down and study with you, or am I gonna go over there and play the game with them? So like I definitely was being put to the test. And I passed a lot of them. I passed all of them, if you ask me, like you say, was gonna be tested, and they another thing they be talking about is is like how how easy it is to do what's wrong or mess up, like, and how hard it is to do the right thing. Like they say, like it's a lot easier to be careless and not think and be in the moment and make mistakes. It's it's easier for us to come to prison than to graduate in college or to to get a degree or to get a certification. Those are the things that they only seem harder to us because it takes more work and it takes more thought. But that that hard work pays off. Absolutely. I love that he said that. Like that was what I was getting ready to say. Like you say, it takes hard work, it takes time, and it takes dedication. But at the end of the day, it is going to take and another thing that I wanted to know, like star our Star Wars and like other incarcerated individuals that is listening to this, I got a I got a number, I got a statistic. And like the statistic, the number is they say 80% of people that are incarcerated will be released. 80%. So that means if you're listening to this right now and your cell, like he was telling us on the video, they're talking about you. If you're listening to this like uh in the recall or whatever, like they're talking about you. You're in that 80% that will be released. So, with that being said, like when you do get released, like it is totally up to you to practice everything that you were preaching and doing in here, like it is time to take it out there to a broader and bigger stage. Absolutely. We also want y'all to know that through these tests and and through these these ups and downs, know that failure is gonna be a part of that. Like, failure is success flipped and turned inside out. Like it molds you. As long as we learn from it. Like when we fail, we just gotta know where we messed up, recognize it, focus on it, and and do better, you know, get back up. It's just not about getting knocked down, it's about getting back up. I'm glad we talk about the failure because, like they say, our it's a saying like our mistakes does not refine as they refine. I need you to unpack because you were the one that actually taught me that saying that our failure does not define as they refined it. Like what it really means to me is like you can learn from your mistakes. Like, you you you learn not what to do in the future, which you did in the past that like got it messed up. Absolutely. Like, and and this is one of my favorites because for us dudes that was in the streets and stuff, like you got dudes that say, oh, you know, I'm a man or I'm a step, or I'm this, I'm that. And you know, they say that because of stuff they've done before, but not what we've done, but what we would be willing to do when put to the test, when put in the situation. Yeah, it don't get no more simpler than that. I like how you go back down, El Nascar. So, like we said earlier, now I definitely want to get into these 10 laws of life before we are up. Now, like I had these 10 laws of life for a minute, and like I literally don't, I literally can't really tell you like where I got them from, but when I got them, like I like them. Because like it was it was stuff, it was stuff that I actually started like doing in here that actually worked and it helped me. So we're gonna start with life law one. And me and El Nascar is going to go back and forth with these that way we can like break certain ones down that we like. So the first one is the first law of life is you either get it or you don't. Now, the strategy behind it is become one of those who get it. Now, it is easy to tell these people apart. Those who get it understand how things work and have a strategy to create the result they want. Those who don't are stumbling along, looking puzzled, and can find and can be found complaining that they never seem to get a break. You must do what it takes to accumulate enough knowledge to get it. You need to operate with the information and skills that are necessary to win. Be prepared to tune in. Find out how the game is played and played by the rules. In design a strategy and getting the information you need about yourself, people you encounter, or situations, be careful from whom you accept input. Wrong thinking and misinformation can steer your fate before you even begin. Right. So you gotta get it or you don't. So, you know, like like I I I see something right here where for the people that don't get it sometimes, you know, like when when we have something that we don't get, we gotta we gotta figure it out. Like we gotta ask questions, we gotta advocate for ourselves or or and tell somebody we need help. But I say ask a question, figure it out the the part that we need help with. And sometimes if if those resources aren't readily available, like I say, we gotta reach out to a trusted person or or or Star Water laws that that might can help us find this way or find this information. Absolutely, like I love it. I love that one. So now we're gonna move on to two. Now, Life Log Two is you create your own experience. And the strategy behind it is acknowledge and accept acceptability for your life, understand your role and creating results. Now we unpack this for y'all. You cannot dodge responsibility for how and why your life is the way it is. If you don't like your job, you are accountable. If you are overweight, you are accountable. If you are not happy, you are accountable. You are creating the situation you are in and the emotions that flows from those situations. Don't play the role of the victim or use past events to build excuses. It guarantees you no progress, no healing, and no victim. You will never fix a problem by blaming someone else. I love that they say that. I'm going to repeat that. You will never fix a problem by blaming someone else. Whether the cause you've been dealt are good or bad, you're in charge of yourself now. Every choice you make, including the thoughts you think, has consequences. Remember that. Every choice you make, including the thoughts you think, has consequences. When you choose the behavior or thought you choose, the consequence. If you choose to stay with a destructive partner, then you choose the consequences of pain and suffering. If you choose the thought of containment with anger and bitterness, then you will create an experience of alienated and hostility. When you start choosing the right behavior and thoughts, which will take a lot of discipline. When you start choosing the right behavior and thoughts, which will take a lot of discipline, you'll get the right consequences. And I like that, well, it's here because like El Nascar just said a few minutes ago, you get out of life what you put in. And like this right here, I guess, like nothing in life that we're going to want to do as good is going to be easy. Like I say, when you start choosing the right behavior and thought, which will take a lot of discipline, meaning it's going to take, like you say, it's going to take a lot of discipline. It's going to take a lot of like uh self-determination. It's going to take a lot of uh chinning this down, it's going to take a lot of chin that down, it's going to take a lot of saying no to this friend, saying no to that friend, and in the end, you're going to see who your friends really are. Absolutely. Like, like how it says, uh, create your own experience. And you got to accept that accountability for your life. Now, we can look at our situations and our circumstances as a result, or like I say, our thoughts and our habits, our decisions. We can take our role out of the situation. It's definitely other people involved. They play roles too. And sometimes that might be out of our control. So we can just kind of reflect inward and focus on us and see where our roles are when the situation and see if we can recognize where we can take accountability and do better. Absolutely. With that being said, we got one more before we wrap it up with you guys. We got one more law to life. And this is all three. So, all three, it says people do what works. And the strategy behind that, identify the payoffs that drive your behavior and that of others. Now, we may unpack this one for y'all. Even the most destructive behavior hasn't payoff. If you do not perceive the behavior in question to generate some value to you, you will not do it. If you want to stop having a certain way, you've got to stop playing yourself off. You got to stop paying yourself off for doing it. Find a control. Yeah, find and control the payoffs because you can't not stop a behavior until you recognize what you are gaining from it. Payoffs can be as simple as money gained by going to work to psychological payoffs of acceptance, approval, praise, love, or companionship. It is possible that you are feeling an unprison in an imprisonment payoffs, such as self-punishment and disordered self-importance. Be alert to the possibility that your behavior is controlled by fear and rejection. It is easier not to change. Try some, yeah, try something new or put yourself in on the line. Also consider if you if you're in need for immediate gratification, create an You have 30 seconds remaining. Now ready than a large payoff later. That is awesome. You say like earlier, everything that we do, it it has a result. And you know, and we're working towards it, the more the harder we work, the the more of a payoff that it's gonna that it's gonna bring to us. So with all that said, we all hey everybody. So the to bring us back from the intermission, it says what was the last one we was at, LMN. All right, identify the payoffs that drive your behavior and that of others. So, like you had said, you know, when it when it comes to our choices, like we the trade-offs, and we gotta know that that that hard work is gonna pay off. But the the harder of a decision and the more thought it takes, the more rewarding it's gonna be. I like that it's say that because like when you take shortcuts, you get short chained. So, like they say, like don't never take shortcuts because if you take shortcuts, you get short chained, and you don't get like the full experience or like the full what I'm trying to say, like there, you don't get the full packet, absolutely. And another thing that we want all of so to know is that we we have the the power and and the ability to to manifest our reality, whatever we want, the desire to be, and whatever goals we want to achieve, it all it all starts right here with us, absolutely. So, with that being said, we would like to thank y'all once again, our Star Wars Nation out there for tuning into Cartour Commentary today. And if y'all was to like anything or wanted to talk about anything that y'all want to talk about, you can feel free to leave us a question in the comment section. And everything that we gotta do that it in life that is hard, it is worth it in the end. Because like you say, hard work PR. Absolutely. And make sure y'all share this video with one of your Star Wars. Star Wall. Two times.
